LB Alumni Association

The Leadership Butler Alumni Association was formed in 1989 by the first class of Leadership Butler. Many of the activities that participants have attended during the class have been sponsored by the Alumni Association. The purpose of the LB Alumni Association is to provide continuing education on issues in Butler County, to be a volunteer base for existing programs and to keep Alumni members connected with each other.

The Alumni Association provides the avenue to continue promoting the county-wide networks established during participation in the adult program and also to provide the opportunity for continuing education of Butler County issues. The Alumni Association plans and implements Outlook Breakfasts on a quarterly basis to discuss issues facing Butler County. The public is invited to attend any of these events and you can get more information by clicking on the "Outlook Breakfasts" link on the left side of your screen.

A "Servant Leadership Award" was established to recognize any individual in Butler County who has exhibited skills in Servant Leadership. This award is announced at each Leadership Butler Celebration.

"Ambassador Award" - Leadership Butler relies heavily on their volunteer support to make all of the programs a success – as well as facilitating for other groups and organizations across the state. The Ambassador Award is designed to recognize those who have made a great difference to Leadership Butler – or who has provided outstanding service and commitment to the programs. This award is chosen by a Selection Committee of LB Past Presidents. The recipient of this award will be recognized at the Leadership Butler Adult Program Recognition in November.

"Outstanding Volunteer Alumni Award" - Each year, the Leadership Butler Alumni Association recognizes someone who is a paid member of the Alumni Association by collecting nominations from all LB Alumni Members. This award is a small way to honor those members who have done great things in their community, profession and their service to Leadership Butler. This award is chosen by a Selection Committee of Past Presidents of Leadership Butler. The recipient will be recognized and presented the award at the Leadership Butler Adult Program Recognition in November.

This program is the volunteer base for all programs of Leadership Butler. They also are the fund raising arm of the organization and continually look at ways to get involved in communities throughout Butler County. The Alumni Association currently holds membership to the Andover, Augusta, El Dorado, Rose Hill and Whitewater Chambers of Commerce.

Past participants of the Leadership Butler program can become a member of the Alumni Association by joining for a nominal $100.00 lifetime membership. As part of your membership, you will be subscribed to The Leading Edge, the official newsletter of the Alumni Association.
